300th Entry

Well here it is. My beautiful 300th entry. As a tribute to this occasion I’m going to write 300th things about me. Some of them will be obvious, others will be little-known things, and some will just be silly and corny. The kinds of the things only someone who has known me for a while would know. I think that 300 entries certainly means this diary has known me for a while….
My name
1. My name is Nicola
2. It’s a popular name in England, but not in the U.S.
3. It’s pronounced Nic-uh-la, like Nicholas but without the “s”
4. My middle name is Marie.
5. My last name has three letters.
6. My name backwards is Alocin.
7. There are only two people in the word who have called me “Nic”…my dad and Hannah.
8. My main nickname is The Dryad.
9. Nicola mean victorious.
10. Many people mistakenly call me Nicole….Ah. Which annoys me a lot.
My Age
11. I’m currently sixteen.
12. My birthday is March 30th.
13. I was born in 1987
14. My mom’s birthday is on April 1st.
15. I’m going to be a junior next year.
16. I played with dolls until I was 12.
17. I moved to the U.S. when I was 10 and 11/12

My History
51. I was born in Stockport, UK
52. I lived in Manchester for 6 months of my life.
53. I then lived in Madeley, Telford, Shropshire for 10 years.
54. I moved to the U.S.A. because of my dad’s work.
55. I didn’t want to move.
56. I’ve moved four times in my life.
57…though one doesn’t really count since it was moving from a hotel in the U.S. to our new house, but we did live in the hotel for a month, so it should count anyway.
58. I’ve been in eight different schools.
59. One of which I only went to for four months.
60. I’ve lived in my current house for about three years….I think.
My Family
61. I have six people in my immediate family.
62. My parents have been married for 18 years.
63. My dad’s name is Mark, my mom’s name is Rosalind.
64. I have three younger brothers.
65. They’re called Gregory, Christopher, and Michael.
65. Gregory is 13, Christopher is 9, and Michael is 20 days old today (I think)
66. I shorten my dad to D, my mom to M, Gregory to G and Christopher to C in my diary.

70. I have relatives in Britain, Canada, New Zealand, and probably Poland and other European countries.
My Friends
71. The person I still consider my primary best friend as Hannah.

73. We still keep in touch though there’s over 5,000 miles between us.
74. So far I’ve had fifteen best friends in my life.

81. I’m open to trying new and different foods, but I will only try something once and won’t have it again if I hate it.

My Beliefs/ Religion.
91. I was baptized by the Anglican church.
92. I’m the only child in my immediate family to have been baptized.
93. I’m Christian in the sense that I believe in God and Christ.

96. To me, religion is my way of tying to make sense of the world. I’m very philosophical
97. I believe in magic and faeries, because I think the Earth and nature is amazing the way everything works.

Food I cannot stand

112. I took swimming lesson till I was nearly eleven during which I took CPR training and also became an extremely good swimmer.

117. I took a women’s self defense class.
118. I currently try to play tennis, but don’t succeed much, although I love it.

Well that’s it. My 300 entry took me all day to get through. I just sat here for over an hour working on the last hundred. I’m definitely going to have to think of something different to do for my 400th entry, but I’m sure I’ll think of something. I wrote this in Word, just because it would be easier…it’s 8 pages long and…2,666 words, well not any more, but it was before I wrote 2,666 words. Well fare thee well everyone, I think I’m done with diary entry writing now.
